Occasional Comics Review

Just a couple comics today as I was busy doing other stuff today. (Yesterday I was just being lazy). Some brief news however: Sarah Palin is an idiot. I know most of us already knew that but her new feud with the TV show "Family Guy" is just ignorant of her. I watched that episode and I don't see what was so insulting about it. Complain all you want but "Family Guy" still makes your boss money so it's not going anywhere plus you are just giving it the attention you feel it doesn't deserve. Moron.

Betty White, star of such classic TV shows as Mary Tyler Moore, Golden Girls and many, many other was honored at the Screen Actor Guild Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award which commemorated not only her 88th birthday but also her 65th year of acting. I am a huge fan of Ms. White and wish her all the best. Here's to 65 more years! Wait, something's wrong with that sentence...

I love the art in Annie but the lack of pupils (which I know is the art style of this strip) is a bit distracting. But you know if they started adding pupils to the characters people would be outraged.

*Sigh* Not a joke anywhere in this strip. I was the Maple Leaf Festival a few years ago (every third weekend in October in beautiful Baldwin City, Kansas) and this woman behind us said "a ladybug landed on me" and the guy next to her said "better get it off, they'll bite you". My Computer's On the Fritz.

...I sure hope the Fritz is enjoying it. I don't think he is.

But seriously, my Franken-PC-running-linux is on its last legs here. It's very fragile and sensitive, like an old person. Or rather, a very young child. Either way it's dying. That's why I'm doing the Wednesday review instead of Friday; tomorrow I begin the backup process & begin rebuilding on a new machine. So YOU lucky ducks get to listen to my mindless drivel TODAY!!

Okay, seriously? Surely Annie and the person right behind her would've noticed that Frisco was scared wayyyyy before the actual jump. Then they would've taken the appropriate action (push Frisco out of the boxcar before them) and this mess wouldn't have happened. By the time she jumps, she'll be miles away and probably land on a barbed-wire fence or something.
