So my site will be pretty dead for the rest of the year.  There will probably only be about four more posts over the next two months.  I'm hoping when January gets here I will be able to do more posting and bring my site back to its former glory.  February at the latest.  Anyway, comics!!

I was pointed in the direction of stickcat.net thanks to Reddit where this comic caught my attention:
StickCat 1
Ha!  The old guy from Up is depressed and lonely.  This strip actually wasn't printing in the UConn paper because it was National Suicide Prevention Week which means showing a comic where someone commits suicide could be considered bad taste.  Unlike publishing a comic on Veterans Day that refers to National Stupid Day.

Also, boobies:
StickCat 2

I just wanted to bring up this comic because of how similar it is to the DC-Marvel publishing effort of Amalgam Comics.  The orgin story presented here is a mash-up of Green Lantern and Iron Man to create SteelWill.  DC and Marvel actually created a mash-up of Green Lantern and Iron Man to create Iron Lantern.

Is it me or does the image if a suit doing work at a computer seem really funny?

Is it me or is the 1st Place trophy for Hide and Seek a clever touch?

Momma 11/14/10
Momma
I don't know who to blame more?  Momma for being a nagging and horrid example of a mother by both wanting to keep her children children and for wanting them to productive adults; or her children for both wanting to be still be mothered but also wanting their adulthood.  They are just an awful family all around.

I think what Cosmo meant to ask was "Do you ever get tired of golf-themed comic strips?"  And the answer would be "Yes, very much so."

Heathcliff 11/14/10
Heathcliff
This is the best Heathcliff I have seen in years and all it took was referencing a comic strip a hundred times better than it.

Born Loser 11/14/10

Was Brutus really expecting some kind of mind-reading power from Wilberforce?  Brutus has met his son right?  He's not exactly the brightest bulb in the box.

And now what we all came here to see:
HARDCORE NUDITY!!

its former glory
Hee hee hee! Good one.
...Oh, wait, you were serious?

Stickcat.net
Considering that the Garfield strip was an accident--and that Stickcat is clearly the work of some Mommy's Special Li'l Twentysomething hipster-poseur trying to garner attention by "being controversial," I don't see the connection. (But I'm sure said poseur thanks you for feeding him the attention he craves.)

A few years ago, this would've been a nice dig at DC for creating Steel--AKA Iron Thor, AKA Thor Machine--in their most shining example of a complete lack of imagination, ever. But Steel's pretty much at the bottom of the garbage dump now, so nevermind.

You're just full of piss and vinegar, aren't you, Occam's?
