Reign of the Captain Victoriouses

It's another Sunday so let's start this thing.

Close to Home 6/4/11
But those burros look so happy to be contributing to the safety of the people of New York.

Cornered 6/4/11
On the original strip received with our comics today, the pedals were moving and so was the bed. It was almost as creepy as For Better of For Worse's blinking eyes on their official site.

Ink Pen 6/5/11
Ink Pen, like Brewster Rockit, is one of those off-the-wall strips that always seem to be consistently funny.

Love Is... 6/4/11
The two kids in Love Is... are terrible parents. Sometimes they have a child, sometimes they don't. Maybe they run a daycare and "borrow" other people's children to make it look like they have their own kids because they cannot have any of their own. If that's the case then today's strip is really sad.

Born Loser 6/5/11
So I don't like the new format for The Born Loser now that it's on GoComics. I find it odd that Gladys doesn't know who to root for but I am curious about Brutus' twin in the seat in front of them.

And since our Brutus is the one with facial hair, that makes him the evil one.

I checked GoComics and wow, lots of the "Cornered" strips are twitching. Sometimes it changes the whole meaning of the strip, like in this one:

The man holding the gag sign at first seems like he's desperate or making a joke - but then he turns his head away from the questioner in shame. His sign is brutally honest. One can only imagine the horrible ways he's already let himself be exploited just to make the hunger pangs subside...yet here is again, starving and holding up that sign.

Why the hell are the pedals in the CENTER of the bed?
