Comics Explained in Rediculous Detail 8/4/08
I had one of the best weekends in a long time and I'm back to the grind today. Sorry about no posts this weekend but I'm sure you'll survive! There is nothing quite like spending a few days hiking, fishing, swimming and camping away from it all. I wont forget the trip for a while, at least until my bug bites go away. Sorry for the late post, hopefully it will be sooner the rest of the week, enjoy your Monday comics review!
Amazing Super Powers 8/4/08
Amazing Super Powers is a semi-weekly web comic that updates Monday and Thursday and is quite good. Here we learn just how jaded the average local network television consumer has become to abducted children news, even if they are their own.
Mary Worth 8/4/08
Yes, this is an entire strip about the thoughts of someone buying a present for their loved one from internet retailer. No, there is absolutely nothing redeemable about Mary Worth. Go check out Enormoushop.com as it is now a hilarious spoof site made by Josh at Comics Curmudgeon.
Mallard Fillmore 8/4/08
Barack Obama is such an elitist that he can see through his eyelids. He has also never heard of Budweiser, one of the worlds crappiest beers. This is spite of their billions of dollars worth of television, print, radio, internet and billboard ads that have been everywhere for the last 30 years at least. I know we avoid politcal cartoons but this comic is just bad, regardless of your party affiliation. For daily digust of MF, check out Duck and Cover - another great comic blog.
Wizard of Id 8/4/08
"You'd have to be hired first for me to actually fire you, logistically speaking, but my readers are idiots. Plus if anybody notices, I've only got 3 panels to work with so they'll give me a break. I mean my whole wizard lab consists of this bucket and this little flask here." So so much wrong with Wizard of Id it makes my head spin.
Snapshots 8/4/08
Jason Love is the funniest unsyndicated cartoonist I have ever found. He is so consistent and puts out so much work you wonder how he gets time to do stand-up comedy too. Not an explanation of this daily comic, just a question: why hasn't this guy gotten picked up yet?

I'm noticing more and more comics featuring the Presidential candidates these days. It's about time that we vet out what these candidates are really about in a humorous and pointed way.

Check out our latest post about the world of comic strips: http://blog.zingerding.com
If we ever needed anything this election it's MORE discussion. Seriously though I have no problem discussing the candidates but the whole "elitist" charge is bullshit propaganda and annoys the hell out of me. And if you're gonna plug your blog on my blog make sure the web page works first.
Hi,
Cool blog you have here.
I was hoping someone is scouring the internet for good comics - otherwise it would take up too much of time for me to do it and post a daily blog about it.
Thanks for this - I bookmarked it.
I had written about some of my fav webcomics in my blog sometime back:
Savage Chickens, Fredo and Pidjin, Sinfest, Wuffmorgenthaler, XKCD, Yenny and others.
As for newspaper/Syndicate acknowledged comic strips see my favourites discussed here:

Though it's bound to be one of the regulars at his site, Josh is most likely _not_ responsible for enormoushop.com.
