Holy Crap, Comics! 7/1/08
Well 2008 is officially half over! Sorry this update is so late today but July is going to be an irregular month around here at DCR. I have a week of vacation and work is crazy busy with the start of our new fiscal year so updates may be late/nonexistent some days and I apologize for that. My buddy Eric who was writing for a brief period here now has a job so he isn't around much. If you're reading this and you're thinking "This guys sucks, I can write about comics better than this schmuck." then please email me! I'd love to have more people writing about comics on this website.
Judge Parker 7/1/08
Hope you're all looking forward to Sam Driver and the Book Advance Negotiations storyline we're destined to be stuck with for the next several months. And since when did Judge Parker start having celebrity guests in the strip? That blonde in panel one is just smitten by the young, jeanjacket-clad Chuck Norris.
Overcompensating 7/1/08
I almost gave up on posting today, downtrodden at the fact that I only had a crappy Judge Parker strip to redicule. Then along came the web comics and they made everything better!
Diesel Sweeties web comics 7/1/08
Not to use this blog to plug non-comic related things but WALL-E is actually a really good movie. I know it is being marketed towards kids but I think it has a little something for everyone. The first half of the movie was much better than the second half, with the focus being on just a few characters without a lot of action but a very interesting setting. Minor Spoiler - basically the world gets so polluted that humans have left the planet and set the robots about to clean up the place until it is habitable again. There is only one robot left (the main character) and I thought the way WALL-E acts and interacts with his world was just like it would be if it was actually happening. If you like sci-fi that doesn't take itself too seriously I highly seeing this.
