New Saturday for the New Year
So, the first Saturday of a New Year. Most people make resolutions for New Year's, but I never have, mostly because I don't need to change anything. I am perfect in all ways, bask in my glory! Mwhahaha!!
Just kidding. Here's the comics that Bryce liked this week along with my awesome commentary:
Bizzaro 12/31/09This actually brings up a good point. Almost every region and religion on Earth has it's own definition of when the calander ends. How does one decide if your ancestry is of several places that each have a different New Year? Personally I would go with Chinese New Year cause they have those cool parades and kick ass fireworks.
Diesel Sweeties 1/2/09Here we have a prime example of web comics. Diesel Sweeties, while contained to the internet again, was in papers and really shares the same sensibilities as print comics. It has a story line, for the most part, and it's not really interesting. The main difference between Diesel Sweeties and print comics is smut. Diesel Sweeties isn't afraid to go low to score laughs, but really why is it called "fapping"? And I don't think that robots have anything to fap or jerk, so going low for laughs doesn't really work in this one.
XKCD 1/2/09This is one of the few comics that I've ever read (not named Calvin & Hobbes) that made me laugh out loud. Of course, I then announced that I knew that they were listening because it really is fool proof.
