When Daily Comics Attack! 6/18/08

Some days you got it and some days you don't. Yesterday was one of those days I didn't and all I can say is I hope my writing improves before everyone leaves. We had a record day yesterday thanks to Uncle Lumpy who is guest hosting over at Comics Curmudgeon and we'd love to hear what any visitors have to say to make this site better, because DCR is for the fans! Anyways Eric has a job now so he'll be posting in the evenings more than likely and I'll keep doing my best to get you updates before noon! Or like today, daily comics just after noon....

Overcompensating 6/18/08

I was listen to a podcast a few weeks ago over at Comics Coast to Coast and they were discussing how to hide your punchline in strips so that people wouldn't be drawn to the final panel early and thus ruin the whole thing. Apparently Jeffrey Rolland was listening in on that one too because E.T. came popping out of the ground at just the right moment, BAM! Just like a newborn baby.

Oh shit, here's the first semi-political cartoon on DCR. The tabloid style and outrageous headlines remind me of The Onion - only funny.


Strange Brew 6/18/08

Lots of good comics today and I just can't be bothered with the mediocre stuff. Simple punchline, great setup, perfect delivery. A lot to achieve in 3 panels, expertly done in one.
