Tuesdays Daily Strips 6/10/08

Doing this daily reviewing thing is starting to effect me in strange and different ways. I am learning which comics are almost always a waste of my time, which comics are bad, and which strips I can hope for something good from at least once a week. Reviewing is making me examine my own writing, and I feel a struggle every day to expand my comic vocabulary so I don't sound repetitive/boring. I've realized I start way too many of my sentences with "I", like this one. Hopefully the comics will be entertaining enough to keep people visiting while I work daily to increase my comics commentary skills.


Momma 6/10/08

Maybe if you hadn't raised your kids to be such self-centered pricks, they'd think of someone besides themselves more often. Is this strip supposed to be funny? "My kids don't love me, HA HA HA HA HA."


Mandrake the Magician 6/10/08

After over a month of reading this comic, I was finally introduced to the strips namesake! Of course if you've never seen him before (like me) you just thought they're being greeted by Dracula's Brother and his gay bodyguard. Apparently this strip has been around almost forever and Mandrake is supposedly the first super hero ever. EVER.

! I love DC and I felt the need to post todays strip for all the world to see. Especially after you had to read that Momma strip to start your day, yech.
