Terrible Tuesday

by Hal Bent

It's only Tuesday? Second Monday has only just arrived? No wonder Tuesday is terrible.  To continue with the terrible, I think I have to keep including 9 Chickweed Land and Ziggy here on a regular basis. Maybe that's my shtick.  Nah, I don't think either of those are any star to hitch my wagon to...

Working Daze by John Zakour and Scott Roberts:

I just love that freaking Geico commercial.  "Guess what day it is?"  Just one point, you couldn't schedule the comic strip to run on, oh I don't know, WEDNES-FREAKING-DAY? That's just laziness.  I blame the editor and the creators, as there is no excuse for this to go out on a Tuesday. Terrible. Just terrible.

Wizard of Id by Parker and Hart"

Here's some more freaking terrible stuff...the re-animated corpse of Johnny Hart is hard at work creating new strips.  How do they have energy concerns in a medieval society?  Don't they just burn with fire for energy? Is deforestation the problem?  I would think that the problem would be with fresh water in this kind of society. Then, the joke would make sense. The way its presented here just doesn't  make any kind of sense.

Fred Basset by Alex Graham:

Well, I was always wondering how they were going to end this strip. Annoying dog killed in dog fight. Michael Vick swears he was not present (gotta throw in some out-of-date humor...it is the comics page!)

Ziggy by Tom Wilson & Tom II:

Yup, I'm taking credit for driving the Zigmeister to the self-esteem clinic. Hah-ha!

9 Chickweed Lane by Brooke McEldowney:

Conjugal Visit Time!!!

Welcome back, and I love the "out-of-date humor" - I've also noticed its prevalence in the comics. I guess it can't be easy always coming up with a fresh gag each day!
