Birds and lovesick beetles

For those who don't know, today is Orangemen's Day in Northern Ireland.  Not that I knew that before I looked up what holiday today might possibly be, but still...

Anyway, you came here to read about comics, not holidays that are fairly obscure outside of Norn Iron.

Rhymes with Orange:

First, I wasn't aware birds had brakes.  I thought they just pulled up and flapped their wings in a certain direction.  Perhaps he means, then, that he needs to get his wings checked.  In that case, instead of a mechanic, he'll need a veterinarian.  Perhaps some nice people in the house can take him to one.  He certainly is in no condition to fly there.

Oh, this is probably also a good time to point out my own webcomic which happens to be about birds, and happens to be called The Bird Feeder.  Interesting connections there...

Pros and Cons:

The worst time in the world to have the hiccups.  This happens to me all the time.  I don't have hiccups for an extended period of time, just one or two randomly during the day.  Hopefully I'll never be accused of having a drinking problem in a court of law.  I'll be sure to have some other people there to vouch for me as a teetotaler.

Fast Track:

Since when is "cybercriminal" only one word?  I submit my spellchecker as evidence for its non-worditude.  Interestingly, my spellchecker tells me that non-worditude is correct, though worditude is not.  Craziness.

Family Circus:

While it may seem silly at first, I prefer to see this as a panel about reincarnation.  Jeffy is actually asking what they are planning to "turn into," or come back as, when they "grow up," or die.  Obviously the dogs don't care, as long as they're not humans.  Billy wants to be a bear.  That tree they're leaning on wants to come back as an ent.

Beetle Bailey:

This one's only funny because you can replace Beetle with a lovesick girl and Sarge with her oblivious love interest and the dialogue works just as well.  In fact, I think it works better.  Perhaps Dean's Comic Booth can do something with it.
