The Rare Sunday Comics Commentary
I know we don't usually write anything with the Sunday funnies and leave the comic reviews for the rest of the week but I felt the need to snark it up. Strange I would choose to work more on a day when I've already been busy volunteering since 5 AM this morning, but I'm a freaking weirdo.
Katzenjamer Kids 9/21/08
This comic strip is just horrifying. Every Sunday is a German nightmare of accents and stereotypes, so why not combine that with the hilarity of killer tidal waves? Watch next week as Katzenjamer Kids makes light of car bombings!
Little Dog Lost 9/21/08
Goodbye summer, we hardly knew ye. As another season passes into the dust, the Daily Comics Review can't wait for a fall full of colors and comic strips.
Adam@Home 9/21/08
Hey did you know that Adam works at home? He is also a stereotypically messy male. This is such a concept-shattering strip sometimes you can't even deal with it. Don't forget, he also loves coffee!
Cornered 9/21/08
"Please get fixed, even if you have to do it yourself. You are killing the planet and society at the same time. Thank you."
Cul de Sac 9/21/08
This is officially the best comic strip that is currently running. I haven't had a comic strip touch me as deeply as Cul de Sac since I was a child, and every day there's the chance Richard Thompson will unexpectedly take you back to those days of innocence and purity we all remember.

Katzenjamer Kids still exists? Further proof that legacy strips are evil (and yes, Keane family and now Lynn Johnston, we're looking at you). It was an amazingly groundbreaking strip decades ago, and now it's just, like you said, sorta-German accents combined with a lack of funniness. Just move over and let someone with new ideas--hey, any ideas--take over the space.
