Boats and bird droppings

I must be one of the most forgetful bloggers in existence.  I keep forgetting to post.  I'm a writer for the illustrious Daily Comics Review, and yet I still forget to post on my appointed day.  Bah.  Today, however, I have not forgotten.  On with the comic blurbs:

The Argyle Sweater:

I think it would get quite annoying if the house talked like that all the time.  In fact, if walls could talk, I'd need to get out of the house more in order to get some peace and quiet.  This is a modest home, as well.  I'd hate to meet the haughty, narcissistic, arrogant homes.  Even driving past them would be a nightmare.

Baldo:

As a comic strip character, she certainly isn't growing up in any sense.  She will stay the same age for the strip's entire existence, most likely.  At least, she will look as though she is the same age.  When the strip ends, she will suddenly change and look her real age.  Depending on the age of the strip, it might not be that bad.  I'll be sad to see Blondie and Dagwood when they eventually retire, however.

In the Sticks:

My answer to this question is always the same: If I was stranded on a deserted island, I would want to have a boat with me in order to get off of it.  The problem with that answer is that even though people will immediately see the practicality of it, they will never find it extremely interesting.  It really is a conversation killer.  This is fine, as I find the deserted island discussion old and boring, and I always try to end it as quickly as possible if it comes up.

Birdbrains:

I would like to take this time to remind people that my web comic, The Bird Feeder, is about birds, and it has never and will never stoop so low as to make jokes about bird droppings.  Every other strip that has something to do with real birds (as opposed to highly anthropomorphized birds, as in Shoe) has at least one joke dealing with bird droppings.  Birds are highly interesting animals, and there's so much more to them than just their poo.  There must be something else you can make a joke about.  Frankly, if I was a bird who read comic strips, I'd be offended.
