Musings on a Baby Godzilla

You're stuck with my blatherings for two days again. You probably did something terrible yesterday, didn't you? Anyway, check out Carafe as well. It will be part of your penance.

Barkeater Lake, 02/18/10

The original Godzilla only came to New York once, in "Destroy All Monsters", which really needs a better United States DVD release. I'm guessing, though, that the movie they're talking about is the American "Godzilla" from 1998. Which would make more sense, really, since the Japanese Baby Godzilla only ate fruit or flowers, depending on which one it was, while the American Baby Godzilla ate people. Still, though, what sort of person would choose to reference the American Godzilla over the Japanese one?

One Big Happy, 02/18/10

I haven't used cursive for anything since eighth grade, save for my signature. And that's evolved into a barely legible squiggle. However, I've never sent out an e-mail saying "U R HOT. Let's hook up!" so I guess that's a win for cursive.

Dinosaur Comics, 02/18/10

I want to know about the rest of T-Rex's day, and what conspired to get him into a hot tub like that.

The Rack, 02/18/10

I really like the second panel here. Who knew selling hotcakes could be so lucrative?

Maybe they're referencing the American baby Godzilla instead of the Japanese baby Godzilla because if I remember correctly the Japanese version is a HUGE pussy, and was a part of arguably the worst Godzilla movie I have seen.
