Arlo has been presented with his dream and now he doesn't know what to do. That might be interesting if this weren't a comic strip. There would be some personal growth and the character might change. But since this is a comic strip nothing will change and Arlo either will or will not have a boat.

Since the world's been turning.

I don't think Smokey the Bear is going to buy their answer.

Cause he's a bear and he looks hungry.

And bears love to eat pun making machines.
