I Have No Explanation
Drabble 9/1/09
Oh, poor Drabble. He can't get any respect. He's the one cooking dinner and still gets harped on. But he should be happy that his wife is going to buy him a new barbecue. Although it's kind of pointless to buy a barbecue for Christmas if you live anywhere that has winter. Unless you have a nice enclosed patio or something you could cook in.
I think the one he's using is fine and his lust for a new one is unfounded and a part of the indoctrination of 'new is better'.
Herb & Jamaal 9/1/09
That pun depends of what kind of church it is. Because if it's not the right kind then it's just blasphemy. We can assume that it's not a place of worship for Jews and Muslims because it's called a church. So it's safe to say it's a Christian place. So basically Herb & Jamaal is voicing a support of Christianity and all other religions are false in their eyes.
I fully expect an uproar in the Muslim community.
The Meaning of Lila 9/1/09
I'm not sure what's going on here, but it looks almost as interesting as real life. Except for the blouse, it's amazing and I don't know why that guy's problem is.
Rubes 9/1/09
The Horse With No Name looks kind of pissed to be lumped in with those other guys. Maybe it doesn't feel good to be out of the rain after all.
Who's horse is Trigger? I don't remember that one.
Also, I think most of those horses are dead which makes me sad.
The Brilliant Mind of Edison Lee 9/1/09
Giving tips to the bad guy about where to buy lab supplies for his diabolical plan(is there any other kind?) isn't very adventurous. At least it's kind of humorous in that it's not what you would expect for him to be doing as he stated that he would be doing something else in the previous panel.
It also doesn't look very holographic for a holographic adventure. But that could just be the limitations of representing 3-D holographic images on paper. It could also be that instead of a holographic adventure this is a dream of some sort. I bet it's called a holographic adventure because 'dream/nightmare' storylines are played out and cliched.

They've changed it from "Doctor Sinster" to "Doctor Loveless" in the Edison Lee strip. Which is preferably, since Loveless was an actual villain in the movie, at least.
Also, Trigger was Roy Rogers' horse.
Again, not funny. And I read this for the same reason I watch saved by the bell episodes... Train wrecks are hard to look away from.
i don't really get why you'd want to read if it sucks, but go right ahead if you get some kind of enjoyment. all i aim to do is entertain so at least i'm meeting one goal.
Trigger had something to do with Roy Rogers, I think. I'm pretty sure he was Roy's horse in the movies.
After Trigger died Roy had him stuffed. Apparently you can go see him at the Roy Rogers museum in Branson.
