The Daily Comics Review: WebComics Wednesday
by Hal Bent
Hooray! Its WebComics Wednesday! Time to break away from my Anti-Ziggy soapbox and love of Get Fuzzy in order to spotlight some of my favorite "Non-Newspaper Comics." So without further ado, let's get into a couple great web comics:

Boston Metaphysical Society is a "steampunk supernatural mystery" which publishes a page of amazingly well-drawn art by Emily Hu and story by creator Madeleine Holly-Rosing. Basically, it is 1895 in Boston and an inter-dimensional evil is on the loose in a steam punk Boston. As steampunk, there are steam powered Victorian retro-futuristic technologies (does that make as much sense as it does in my head?). It's a fascinating and addictive story, the works are collected into chapters and for sale as a collection and there are companion novellas as well. The three main characters, Caitlin, Samuel and Granville are interesting characters in a fascinating world with exciting plot lines. Secret scientist societies, Alexander Graham Bell, Harry Houdini, Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, this site does a fantastic job of grabbing the reader. You can check out the page and get up to date quickly by reading chapter one and jumping into chapter two.

Company Man looks way too copy-paste for me. I don't know why you'd make a comic if you didn't want to draw.
