Garfield's EPIC Fail
Hey guys, Zachary the Stupid Inventor here making an unscheduled post to bring your attention to what has to be the worst coincidence in comic history: Today's Garfield strip:I seriously couldn't imagine a worse strip to accidentally run on Veteran's Day!
Jim Davis has already issued an apology: http://blogs.gocomics.com/2010/11/jim-davis-on-todays-garfield.html
While I'm sure this was just a mistake made by Davis, It's got to be the worst coincidence I've ever seen.
Perhaps this is a sign that Garfield should retire? I highly doubt it.
Either way, a hearty salute to all the Veterans, thanks for protecting our country!
See you all next Wednesday,
Zachary

You would think the editor would've noticed and called Davis and been like "Hey, is this supposed to be running today cuz it's kind of offensive."
@Brian Hall, I assume the editor, like most people, just casually glance at Garfield before moving on to other things...
wow.....not good! Makes one wonder what the editor is actually looking at if (s)he couldn't catch something that simple....this is a strip of like only 3 panels. Sheesh!
Let's pretend that this was meant to be offensive, hypothetically. How exactly would it possibly make any sense?
Veterans are stupid, because a spider talked smack to a big cat with a newspaper? I don't get it.
