Bungee Jumps, Hula Skirts, and Napkins
Hey everyone! Zachary the Stupid Inventor here, sorry I was away last Wednesday and didn't have access to a computer, so I couldn't do a comic review, I hope you're all not too broken up about it... onto the review!
The Bad:Broom Hilda: Firstly, the joke itself is pretty weak, but it's the poor execution of that joke that really bothers me. Having to name the diner "Omelets Only" to make your joke understable means you need to rethink it.... at least in my humble opinion.
Girls and Sports: I really don't like this strip, so I try not to review it because i'm biased against it, but the third panel of this strip is soooo creepy I just had to post it.
Rhymes With Orange: I normally enjoy this comic, I get it in my local paper. But today's comic is essentially just a lame Garfield strip, no? Am i missing some deeper joke here? I want to give the cartoonist the benefit of the doubt.....
The Weird:Scary Gary: Hmm, i didn't know you could use the word "corpse" on the comics page...
The Nitpicks:Obble and Quentin: I really like this method of having the worm tell the story to the duck in pictures, it's an interesting way to do a 3 panel gag, especially since you don't necessary need it for the strip to work.
The Good:Daddy's Home: I've gotten myself into conversations like this....
My Cage: It sucks that this comic is ending, but they're really ending with a bang by doing this award joke. Great job guys, I'm really going to miss this strip... :(
Dog Eat Doug: Maybe it's the fact that I've recently become an uncle, but i really like this strip, especially the two panel bungee jump image. Great example of how great art can make a strip!
Brewster Rockit: This is one of my favorite strips, and the scientist character is hilarious! These inventions sound like something my Stupid Inventor would make!
Ok, that's it for this Wednesday's review, let me know what you think in the comments!

What's creepy about the Girls&Sports panel? If the waitress thought his date was under-age, she would've though HE was under-age as well, thereby giving the both "age compliments".
@Nightraven
What I think the comic was saying is that it's a compliment when the girl you're dating is attractive and way younger than you. I'm not sure about the age range of these guys, i'm guessing late 20's/early 30's.
Now, I don't judge other peoples relationships, whatever works for you, but I think the comic was going for it's usual male chauvinistic humor, and treating her as a "trophy girl"....
But perhaps your interpretation is correct. I'd rather go with yours anyways....
:D
